Now you can get all the news and updates as soon as they’re posted to our website. At the top of our webpage in the navigation menu you’ll see a new “Subscribe” heading. Just go that page and follow the instructions for signing up. After that you’ll receive an email notification (by RSS feed) whenever anything on the website is updated or anything new is posted.

an additional monthly meeting on the fourth
Tuesday of the month in the afternoon
from 1:30 - 3:30 pm.

Location: San Joaquin Gardens

iMovie / iDVD Wet Workshop

Come join us for a hands-on Wet Workshop in the beautiful computer labs out at Fresno State. Dr. Otto Benevites, Education professor and Apple Distinguished Educator, will teach us how to take our photos and movies into iMovie and then make it in to a real DVD (which can play on your Television) using iDVD. Your movie can have menus, chapters, buttons, etc just like a real commericial DVD. Each person will have their own large screen iMac computer to work on. Learn by doing it yourself!
Bring photos, movie clips, music, or anything you want in your movie, on a thumb drive or CD, and bring a blank DVD to burn your creation.
Nominal $10 registration fee to reserve your spot. Register at the December 1 FMUG meeting or by sending a check for $10, made out to FMUG, to Judy Haber, 468 E. Sample Avenue, Fresno, CA 93710. For questions, call 431-2102 or email jhaber@csufresno.edu.

member photo takes “best of show”!

FMUG member Jonathan Rollins was awarded Best of Show at the Big Fresno Fair.

This image was also chosen 'May Print of the Month' 2009 by the Fresno Camera Club.

In addition, he submitted the image to the CA State Fair in Sacramento. Over 400 images were submitted and only 55 were chosen for display. "Palong Hill Tribe Woman" was chosen for display and honored with an Award of Merit. This was a juried show.

Jonathan’s photo is currently on exhibit at Fresno City Hall for the month of November. It was chosen for this honor by the Fresno Arts Council.
